Cortex is Snowflake’s suite of AI capabilities including Cortex Analyst (natural language SQL), Cortex Search (vector and hybrid search), AISQL functions, and Cortex Agents that orchestrate analysis across structured and unstructured data within Snowflake. Cortex hosts LLMs (Mistral, Llama, Claude) directly in Snowflake so customer data never leaves the platform. Cortex represents Snowflake’s strategic positioning as an AI-ready data platform.
