Reworkd’s AgentGPT was one of the popular early open-source autonomous AI agent platforms, sometimes called “AutoGPT in the browser.” Users specify a goal and AgentGPT iteratively plans tasks, executes them via web search and tool use, and pursues the goal autonomously. Reworkd has since shifted focus to web data extraction with their commercial Reworkd platform. AgentGPT was foundational in popularizing autonomous AI agent concepts to a broad developer audience.
