Pinecone Assistant is Pinecone’s API for building retrieval-augmented AI applications on top of its vector database. Developers upload documents, and Assistant handles chunking, embedding, retrieval, and generation in a single API, abstracting much of the RAG pipeline complexity. Pinecone is one of the leading vector databases for production AI applications, and Assistant brings higher-level abstractions on top of its vector infrastructure.
