Deep Research is Perplexity’s autonomous research mode that performs dozens of web searches, evaluates hundreds of sources, and synthesizes detailed research reports with citations on complex topics. It runs for several minutes per query, accessing reasoning-tuned models (DeepSeek R1, OpenAI o-series) to plan, search, and reason iteratively. Deep Research outputs are exportable to PDF and shareable. The feature is available to Perplexity Pro and Enterprise subscribers, with usage limits scaling with plan.
