OGX is the new name of Llama Stack, the open-source project that started in Meta’s meta-llama GitHub organization. The project now lives at ogx-ai/ogx and describes itself as an open-source agentic API server for building AI applications, no longer tied to one model family. It offers OpenAI-compatible endpoints for chat completions, embeddings, the Responses API (tool calling, MCP servers and file search), vector stores, files and batches, and also accepts the Anthropic and Google GenAI SDKs. A pluggable provider layer lets you develop locally with Ollama and deploy with vLLM or a managed service while the API stays the same. See the announcement of the rename.
