Hex Magic is the AI assistant within Hex, a collaborative analytics notebook platform. Magic generates SQL queries, Python code, charts, and explanations grounded in the user’s connected data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks). It supports multi-cell workflows, agent mode for multi-step analysis, and explanations of code and results. Hex Magic uses Anthropic and OpenAI models with retrieval over schemas and prior notebooks.
