Deep Research is a feature in Gemini Advanced that performs autonomous multi-step web research, browsing dozens to hundreds of websites, reasoning over them, and producing structured reports with citations on user-specified topics. The feature uses Gemini’s reasoning models and Google’s web index for fast, broad coverage. Reports include summaries, key findings, sources, and exportable formats. It is one of the leading deep research products alongside OpenAI Deep Research and Perplexity Deep Research.
