Covariant builds RFM (Robotics Foundation Model), an AI model for warehouse robotics, particularly bin picking, pick-and-place, and similar manipulation tasks in logistics. In August 2024 Amazon took a non-exclusive license to Covariant’s AI models and hired its three co-founders and about a quarter of its staff (GeekWire).
