Continue CLI is the command-line interface for the Continue AI coding agent, complementing Continue’s IDE extensions. The CLI lets developers run Continue’s autonomous coding capabilities from the terminal with the same model choice, customization, and OSS architecture. Continue CLI is part of the broader trend of AI coding tools spanning both IDE and CLI surfaces, similar to Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Aider.
