Computer Use is a Claude capability that lets the model operate a computer through screenshots, mouse movements, clicks, and keyboard input, enabling AI agents to use any software, fill forms, navigate websites, and complete tasks across applications. Available via the Anthropic API, it powers many third-party agent products including the official Claude desktop app’s computer-use features. Computer Use was a foundational release that catalyzed broader agentic AI adoption in 2024-2025.
